I came across this insane old woman in my town today- she was huddled in a grimy corner of an unoccupied building;
she cupped an empty paint can over her ears and listened intently to something.
i don't know what she heard therein but the sounds or voices that she heard from the empty tin can would prompt her to guffaw loudly every now and then...

i almost envied her.

This is a beautiful portrait. I like it because the photo is not about the layers of makeup she has on, or the hair product used, but about a feeling; an emotion. And that is so much more powerful.

The tittle fits is perfectly too.
