When a town awakens by bingbing51 When a town awakens by bingbing51
A homeless beggar woman starts her rounds even as the day just breaks over a mist covered town

ISO 400, hence the grain (Help! is there a free noise remover -something like noiseninja- somewhere?)

When a town awakens by ~bingbing51 is filled with so much mystery and a small hint of thrill that's perpetuated by the noise from the high ISO, showing us that sometimes even the grainiest or blurriest of shots can often turn out a storytelling masterpiece.

 Hello!

My name is Eloísa Valdes and in case you don't know it yet I'm one of your gallery moderators for photojournalism.

Congratulations on the DD!

I'd like to also inform you that we have a photojournalism monthly newsletter, called "Fear No More!, in which the DDs are featured, but there is also lots of informations: about contests going on, interviews, etc. This deviation of yours was obviously featured in there, along with many others. In case you are curious about it you can check it at: [link]

Oh, and we also have an official group for photojournalism now, it's called #NewsStand :flirty: I thought you'd like to know!

C ya! :blowkiss:

Reminds me of the movie "Slumdog Millionaire". All the noise gives the piece such a poignant effect, that it almost moves my heart tears when I see it.

I like this very much...
my first thought was, that she is a homewalking prostitute.
Anyways, it´s a great shot!!!
For your answer, well, I made the img sharper and after that I used a redfield plugin, called Perfectum, to remove the noise.
I like the outcoming img, but I think your original looks better, I mean it is like it is, and thats why it became a DD...!
Here is the img

Wow. This is... This is in a class of its own. It's so, so simple but it has such an impact. Definitely deserving of a DD.

Ohhh, that's so lovely. Please tell me it's not candid. Tell me that you spent hours on composition and nailed the lighting and placement.

Faved, hearted. Oh yeah.

Noise isn't always a bad thing. I personally love that about this picture. But if you really want something, perhaps the best way to remove noise is to look up tutorials on how to do it yourself so you have more control, or just google search for it.

i say to keep the noise in this photo, and to try digital cameras for shots where you do not want noise but cant help it. then again my experance with any photography is not much. (one grain of sand on the beach is all i have comparied to others.)
